Weekly Roundup 003

This past week has been both hectic and fun. School has started again (yay!) but Adam's teething (not so yay). Thankfully, we decided to head to Brighton Beach on Saturday for a day of sun, ocean, and fun! I'm not one for beaches, but the older boys have been asking to go for weeks, and my parents wanted to go too, so off we went. Anyway, my mama managed to take this photo of Adam & I as we hung out under our nifty beach umbrella about 20mins before he had an almighty cry after we dipped his toes in the ocean. #badparents #sorrybaby

Still, I managed to find time this past week to catch up on my favorite blogs via the Feedly app, and here are some posts that I loved! There's something here for everyone, so keep reading!

  1. Accupressure Mats: Get On Board by The Skinny Confidential
I've genuinely never heard of accupressure mats but I definitely want one now! Thanks to a bad back (thanks, scoliosis) and the awkward sleeping positions I have to contort myself into (thanks, co-sleeping), my back and neck are constantly sore. This post has convinced me that I need an accupressure mat, and I think you might need one too!

  2. 10 Interior Tricks Instagram Can Teach Us by The Pink House
There are some things here I already knew (rule of three, for example), but a lot of it did make me stop and go "that's different". I've been feeling like I've been stuck in a decorating rut in our current home, and there isn't a lot I can do with it since its a rental, so I'm taking some of the tips here to spice things up a bit.

  3. Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable by The Skinny Confidential
Speaking of ruts, I've definitely fallen into a life rut as well. I feel a little restless, uninspired, and afraid of taking risks. It's so unlike me, but hey, that's where I'm at right now. This post was a much-needed kick in the butt for me, and although I haven't fully gotten off my butt (seriously...why is the comfort zone so comfortable?), I'm gonna give this another read so I finally get up and get going with all my grand plans already!

  4. The 7 Best Photo Editing Apps by Keiko Lynn
This post is so straightforward and easy to digest that I now have all 7 of the apps listed in it. If you have any interest in making all your pics Instagram-worthy, then you NEED to read this!
