Throwback to Queensland

The weather has been dreadful here in Melbourne these past few weeks. It's just been unrelentingly chilly and dark. Truth be told, it's rather depressing. And so I find myself reminiscing about the sunnier days from a few months ago, particularly the few weeks we spend visiting my in-laws in Queensland!

It was so special to be at their beautiful house again after so many years away (click HERE to see some shots from our last time there!). The last time we visited, we got engaged nearby, so Queensland has a very special place in my heart.

More than anything, though, I think it was a much-needed change of scenery for us as a family. We are in the chapter of our lives right now where we are constantly on the go, and with 5 people's needs and wants and schedules all being juggled, it can get a bit overwhelming. So having this short holiday in Queensland was a good break from all that. It was very special to spend that time together as a family.

Plus, the kids got ice cream and beach walks pretty much every day, so they loved that! Not to mention spending a minimum of three hours in the pool every single day. Is it any wonder none of us wanted to leave???
