So, with all that's been happening lately, I've completely lost track of time. Then last week, I suddenly realized - my wedding is in two months! That means I have two months to get myself in shape so I can actually fit into my wedding ensemble (let's just say there were some...zipper issues...the last time I tried on my skirt).
Obviously, my first reaction was to FREAK.OUT. Seriously I have put on so much "happy weight" since the engagement that I have a lot of hard work to do in the next couple of months. I know I can get myself down to a decent weight in that amount of time - I've done it before, and I will do it again! But this time really I want to incorporate other healthy habits so that it can be more long-term.
I'll share my diet and exercise plans soon, but for now I'm finally doing something that pretty much everyone else has been doing but I've been lazy to do up until now. Healthy smoothies! Luckily TEFAL has given me this amazing BlendForce Maxi Tripl'Ax Blender. With its 2L glass jar, 5-speed blending mechanism, and patented "double click" cleaning system, I can finally make myself some healthy smoothies.
There are so many recipes out there - just type "healthy smoothies" on Pinterest and you'll get a ton of ideas. But what I noticed was that a healthy smoothie is basically just healthy stuff put in a blender. Hard to mess up, as far as I can tell.
So I looked around the kitchen and found this array of healthy goodness, and decided to make my own healthy smoothie - YUM!
1 cup soy milk (this one is organic and sweetened)
1 scoop protein powder (I LOVE Syntrax Nectar - zero carbs and a ridiculous array of flavors, yo!)
A handful of butterhead lettuce
Just blend it all together, and voilà! A delicious and healthy smoothie. Why didn't I start doing this sooner??
So do y'all have any personal favorite healthy smoothie recipe? I need to start on a grocery list, so spam me!
